Mike Posner - The Scientist (Coldplay Cover)
A dubstep-y cover of The Scientist. Posner did a pretty good job on the production here.

Crocodiles - Mirrors
These guys remind me of The Smashing Pumpkins. Check it.

The Black Keys - Tighten Up
The Black Keys + Danger Mouse = awesome.

Lady GaGa - Requiem For A Romance (Robin Skouteris Mix)
This is the first time I’ve posted anything related to tumblr’s celebrity crush. GaGa mixed with Clint Mansell (who scored Requiem for a Dream). This mashup is too good to pass up.

Wakey!Wakey! - Twenty Two (Feat Theo Martins) [Remix]
Theo Martins (who?) spits over this Wakey!Wakey! (who?) track. Sounds like backpack hip-hop, but it has an infectious hook and whistling that gets ~stuck in the head~.
You should go home before your money’s all gone.
Sage advice.

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (Mikey Mic Remix)
Electronic take on a Motown classic. Sick remix.

memoryhouse - To The Lighthouse (MillionYoung Remix)
Think Beach House (but not really).
~chillwave~

Sleigh Bells - Ring Ring
Another r&b infused band that’s already snatched over 100k plays on last.fm without even dropping a proper full-length yet. This one surprisingly includes a (former) school teacher. Crown on the Ground seems to be the crowd favorite, but Ring Ring holds its own. Waiting for the LP to drop.

Wu-Tang Vs. The Beatles - Save Me Dear
Nice. This song is from a remix album that mashes Wu Tang with The Beatles. This specific song has Ghost rapping over a beat that samples She & Him - You Really Got a Hold on Me.
Complete album can be had here: http://www.teasearecords.net/wuvsbeatles/

jj - My Way
jj is awesome. This song samples a Lil Wayne verse, which makes it a shit ton better. Elin echoes Notorious B.I.G. (on Hypnotize) when she sings “wanna do us? who us?”, and it’s absolutely endearing. jj has implemented hip-hop in their music far better than most groups that try to ‘fuse’ multiple genres. It seems so effortless and it works so well. I srsly can’t wait for jj nº 3. I’m looking forward to getting the vinyl in March or whenever.
